I absolutely love Beautycounter’s line of makeup (if you haven’t already guessed 😉 ), and so does my teenage daughter, Alli.
With Beautycounter’s rigorous ingredient selection process, I feel comfortable knowing that the makeup Alli uses is safe and gentle on her skin. Plus, it’s quite versatile in a sense that it’s light enough for Alli to use; it doesn’t make her look old or overdone, and it can also be applied and layered for a sophisticated and bold look for women who are in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and beyond.
For those with teens, here are some of Alli’s Beautycounter favorites that I know your daughter (and you) will love as well.
Beautycounter’s Lengthening Mascara was given the Best of Beauty Award by Allure Magazine this year, which is no surprise given its unbelievable lengthening capabilities. Alli can’t get enough of the mascara (like mother, like daughter!). It not only defines her lashes, but also moisturizes them, thanks to the organic oils and shea butters infused into the formula. Plus, it doesn’t clump or smudge, and lasts all day!
Beautycounter’s Lip Gloss goes on smoothly and moisturizes lips without making them feel sticky or goopy. These glosses are now available in SEVEN different colors, so you can find the right shade to match your daughter’s skin tone! Alli is obsessed with Coral, Buff and Sienna. It’s a light enough shade she can wear to school that’s mom-approved. (I can’t help but sneak in my favorites: Opal, Buff and Peony!)

Beautycounter’s Blush comes in two shades, made to be worn together or separately, depending on the look you’re trying achieve. Alli usually applies a few sweeps of the Tawny/Whisper together, and since there are three different duos to choose from (Tawny/Whisper, Bloom/Tulip or Flamingo/Apricot), you can find the best one to match your daughter’s skin tone.
The blush is made with Porcelain Flower Extract (a Thai bloom known for its antioxidant benefits) that feels silky on cheeks and also helps keep the skin moisturized.
For the best application, I recommend using the Angled Blush Brush, made from taklon, a synthetic, anti-microbial fiber that’s easy to clean and can last for years.
If you have questions on other products for your teen or tween, feel free to comment below, and I can help you pick out the right shades or answer any questions you may have about the makeup or their ingredients.
